Hyderabad: N-Convention Centre, owned by actor Nagarjuna, is undergoing demolition by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRA) team. The demolition began early on Saturday morning, with HYDRA officials and police ensuring the operation proceeded smoothly and without disruption.
This action follows long-standing allegations of illegal construction within the Full Tank Level (FTL) area and buffer zone of Thammidikunta Lake in the city’s Madhapur district.
The N-Convention Centre, situated on a 10-acre site, is accused of encroaching on approximately 1.12 acres of the FTL area and an additional 2 acres within the buffer zone of the lake, which covers around 29.24 acres according to the North Tank Division's executive engineer.
Despite repeated scrutiny, the management has been alleged to have leveraged its influence to evade regulatory actions from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and other authorities.
