After a year-long hiatus following ‘King of Kotha,’ Dulquer Salmaan is set to return to cinemas with his upcoming film ‘Lucky Baskhar.’ Directed by Venky Atluri, the movie will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
At the pre-release event for ‘Lucky Baskhar,’ Dulquer spoke about his favourite Telugu film, ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo,’ which was released in 2020 and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, featuring Allu Arjun. Dulquer expressed his admiration for the film, stating it is one of his favourites. He also shared a charming anecdote about his daughter, who is a fan of Allu Arjun. She once asked him if he knew the actor, prompting Dulquer to playfully respond as her father rather than as a fellow actor.
"I have watched 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo,' and it is one of my favourite films. My daughter is a big fan of Allu Arjun. She once asked me, 'Do you know Allu Arjun?' At that moment, I was a dad instead of an actor," Dulquer said. He assured Maryam that he would definitely introduce her to Allu Arjun someday, highlighting that many fans of the actor are in his family.
‘Lucky Baskahr’ marks Dulquer's return to Telugu cinema after films like ‘Sita Ramam’ and ‘Mahanati’. The trailer and music for the film have garnered considerable attention on social media. Set in the 1980s, the story revolves around a character named Baskhar, portrayed by Dulquer Salmaan.
