Veteran actor Ibrahim Kutty opened up about his emotional connection to films featuring his nephew Dulquer Salmaan and his elder brother Mammootty during an interview with newsathouse, a YouTube channel. He candidly shared how certain moments in their movies deeply affected him.

Speaking about Dulquer’s film Lucky Baskhar, Ibrahim Kutty revealed that at one point, he was so tense that he turned off the TV. “There was a scene where it seemed like Dulquer’s character might get caught. I felt so anxious watching it. I thought, ‘If I watch this at night, it won’t feel right; better to finish it in the morning.’ So, I switched the TV off,” he said, adding that such moments are easier to handle when watching films with a crowd but much harder when alone.

The actor also recalled an emotional experience while watching Mammootty's film Turbo. Despite being a comedy, Ibrahim Kutty said there was a scene that moved him to tears. “When I see Mammootty onscreen, it’s not just the character I see; I see Ichakka (an affectionate term for his elder brother). There’s this electric charge, an indescribable feeling. It’s that personal connection which overwhelms me,” he explained.

Ibrahim Kutty’s reflections highlight the strong familial bond he shares with both Dulquer and Mammootty, as well as his unique perspective as both a family member and an audience member. (With inputs from Agencies)
