Born in Haryana, Meenakshi Chaudhary is a dental doctor by profession and has also worked as a model before stepping into the film industry. After making her acting debut in Bollywood, she soon shifted her focus to the South, featuring in several Tamil and Telugu movies such as Khiladi, Hit: Second Case, Kolai, and GOAT. She quickly became a sought-after actress in the South Indian film industry.
Her major breakthrough came when she starred as the lead actress in GOAT (The Greatest of All Time), directed by Venkat Prabhu, alongside Thalapathy Vijay, who played a dual role. However, in a candid interview recently, Meenakshi opened up about battling depression after receiving a negative response for her role in GOAT, despite the film being one of the biggest hits in Kollywood last year, even though it was met with largely negative reviews.

"I faced a lot of criticism, and there were numerous trolls directed at me. I went through a lot of mental stress for almost a week after that," the actor shared.
Meenakshi's role in GOAT was much smaller than expected, and her involvement in the film was mainly limited to a song. Following the release of the highly anticipated Vijay movie, social media was flooded with trolls and memes.
However, despite the setback with GOAT, Meenakshi found success in her Telugu film Lucky Baskhar, where she received positive reviews for her portrayal of a mother to a 6-year-old child. Meenakshi noted that the film garnered praise for her performance, and she described the role as emotionally rewarding.
While many aspiring actresses dream of sharing a scene with Thalapathy Vijay, Meenakshi's comments about her experience in GOAT have certainly not gone unnoticed, and might have earned the ire of Vijay's fanbase as well. In GOAT, Vijay played a dual role, with Meenakshi appearing opposite him as one of the female leads.
As the industry moves forward, Meenakshi’s journey, though filled with challenges faced by many female actors in the industry, also highlights her determination to carve her own path in South Indian cinema. (With inputs from Agencies)
