The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Mumbai, predicting moderate to intense spells of rain throughout the day

Mumbai: Relentless monsoon rains have once again brought Mumbai to a halt, with widespread flooding and severe waterlogging reported across the city. Among the affected was Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, whose Juhu residence, Prateeksha, was seen submerged in ankle-deep water, with rainwater entering the premises.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing a heavily waterlogged street outside the actor’s bungalow. The individual filming the clip can be heard saying, “Look how much water has accumulated here,” and even claims that Bachchan himself stepped out with a wiper in hand to help clear the water.
The videographer adds, “No matter how much money you have, even if you’re worth thousands of crores, no one can escape the Mumbai rains --not even Ambani or Amitabh Bachchan.” The footage also shows a car stranded outside the actor’s home, before the person filming approaches the bungalow's security, only to be quickly escorted away.
The same influencer also shared footage of several other celebrity homes -- including those of Ajay Devgn and Kajol, Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji, and the Deol family, surrounded by floodwaters.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Mumbai, predicting moderate to intense spells of rain throughout the day. The downpour has already claimed one life and left three others injured, further highlighting the city's continued struggle with monsoon-related disruption.
