‘Kumbalangi Nights’ fame actress Ambika Rao has been undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailments. Ambika, who worked as an assistant director for many movies, needs to spend a huge amount for regular dialysis, according to reports.

Following the COVID-19 outbreak, she is struggling to make both ends meet after losing her job. Many people, including her friends, have come forward seeking financial help for Ambika.

Earlier, FEFKA and some people in film fraternity, have given financial support to Ambika to continue her treatment. Though she is on treatment, the financial crisis became a major problem in her life.

Unfortunately, her brother Aji who always stood by her suffered a stroke and is hospitalised. Following this tragedy, Ambika is struggling to find money for her treatment.

Ambika’s brother Aji was working as Tabla and Mridangam artiste for 15 years.

Ambika has played the role of Fahadh Faasil’s mother-in-law in ‘Kumbalangi Nights’. She was also seen in ‘Meesha Madhavan’ and ‘Anuragakarikkinvellam’.

She also worked as an assistant director in ‘Thommanum Makkalum’, ‘Salt N Pepper’, ‘Rajamanickyam’ and ‘Vellinakshathram’.
