Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has officially announced his next film, tentatively titled L367, which will be directed by Vishnu Mohan, known for his 2022 drama-thriller Meppadiyan.

Taking to his official social media, Mohanlal wrote, “With immense joy, I announce my next project, L367. I am truly delighted to collaborate with director Vishnu Mohan on this exciting venture, produced by Shri Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. Looking forward to this new chapter and seeking all your love, blessings, and good wishes as we begin this beautiful journey together.”

Alongside the announcement, the actor shared an intriguing poster depicting two lanes of traffic—one crowded with vehicles rushing forward, while a single car moves in the opposite direction, hinting at the film’s distinctive narrative.

Vishnu Mohan’s first film

Vishnu Mohan made his directorial debut with Meppadiyan, starring Unni Mukundan as Jayakrishnan, a kind-hearted mechanic whose life spirals into turmoil after a tempting real estate deal leaves him penniless and entangled with powerful figures. The film also featured Anju Kurian, Kottayam Ramesh, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, and Nisha Sarang in pivotal roles. He later directed Kadha Innuvare, featuring Biju Menon and Methil Devika.

Upcoming releases

On the work front, Mohanlal is gearing up for the release of Drishyam 3, the much-anticipated third instalment of the crime thriller franchise directed by Jeethu Joseph, which is scheduled to hit cinemas on 2 April 2026.

The makers of ‘Patriot’, featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal and Nayanthara, have also announced the release date of the film, which will hit the big screen on April 23.

Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, known for acclaimed Malayalam titles ‘Malik’, ‘Take Off’ and ‘Ariyippu’, the film also reunites Nayanthara with Mammootty after their 2016 release ‘Puthiya Niyamam’.
