The first look of Mirage, directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali, will be unveiled tomorrow. Even before the launch, a cleverly designed digital teaser has stirred curiosity on social media, thanks to a humorous and cryptic comment thread involving the film's cast.

It began when a fan, Femi Mariam, commented asking whether the thumbnail of the teaser was changing constantly. Hakim Shajahan responded, “Don’t believe everything you see, it’s all a mirage.” Hanna Reji Koshy followed with, “Aha, and then?” to which Aparna Balamurali replied, “Oh, looks like someone’s a pundit!” Asif Ali then added, “This is how it’s been ever since Mirage wrapped up.” The comments quickly turned the teaser post into a playful exchange, raising audience anticipation for the film.

Mirage is produced by Mukesh R Mehta, Jatin Sethi, and C. V. Sarathi under the banners E for Experiments and Nath Studios, in association with 717 Productions and Bed Time Stories. The film reunites Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali after their 2024 collaboration in Kishkindha Kandam. Asif Ali’s last release, Rekhachithram, was a major box office success earlier this year, heightening expectations.

The ensemble also features Hakim Shajahan, Deepak Parambol, Hanna Reji Koshy, and Sampath Raj in important roles.

The cinematography is by Satheesh Kurup, with a story by Aparna R Tharakad. The screenplay and dialogues are penned by Srinivas Abrol and Jeethu Joseph. V. S. Vinayak handles editing, while Prashanth Madhav is in charge of production design. Music is composed by Vishnu Shyam, and lyrics are by Vinayak Sasikumar. Sinoy Joseph is on sound design, and Tony Magmith leads VFX. The executive producer is Katheen Jeethu. Costumes are designed by Linta Jeethu, makeup by Amal Chandran, DI by Liju Prabhakar, and stills by Nandu Gopalakrishnan. Sudheesh Ramachandran is the chief associate director, with Pranav Mohan as production controller and Athira Diljith as PRO.
