Mammootty’s latest film Bazooka is all set to add excitement to this year’s Vishu celebrations as it hits theatres on Thursday. Ahead of its release, the veteran actor took to social media to share a heartfelt note that’s drawing attention online.

“Dear all... I'm once again joining hands with a debut director. Deeno Dennis — he is the man behind the story and screenplay of Bazooka. The film hits theatres on April 10. It’s a fresh and exciting script with a gaming theme — something that instantly caught my interest. Now, it’s up to you to like it. As I always say, every new director has something new to say — and along with them, I too join you in this journey. With love, Mammootty,” he wrote.

Produced by Jinu V Abraham and Dolwin Kuriakose under the banners of Saregama India Ltd. and Theatre of Dreams, Bazooka is reportedly gearing up for a wide global release, including on nearly 300 screens across Kerala. Touted as the first gaming thriller in Malayalam cinema, the big-budget film showcases Mammootty in an ultra-stylish avatar — a look that has already sparked buzz through the teaser, trailer and posters.

Joining Mammootty in a key role is popular Tamil filmmaker and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon, who plays a police officer named Benjamin Joshua. The ensemble cast also includes Siddharth Bharathan, Babu Antony, Hakkim Shajahan, Bhama Arun, Sumit Naval, Divya Pillai and Spadikam George.
