Veteran actor Jagadish, a familiar face in the Malayalam film industry, continues to impress audiences with his evolving performances. In recent years, he has transitioned to more serious roles, moving away from the comedic characters he was known for.

His latest project features him alongside Kunchacko Boban in the upcoming movie Officer on Duty.

Speaking about the movie alongside Kunchacko Boban and Ramzan with Mathrubhumi.com, Jagadish reflected on his career and addressed the online trolling he often faces. Known for his occasional foray into singing, he shared his perspective on how trolls have influenced him.

"I am getting a lot of trolls. My favourite troll is one where Rajinikanth leaving India in tears after hearing me sing. I don’t know who created it, but I appreciate their creativity. I really liked it. I believe that if we are trolled, we get better. Maybe by trolling, my singing will improve," he said.

He added, "After Marco was released, many said that Jagadish delivered an outstanding performance and even surprised them. However, some felt that the role didn’t quite suit him. Seeing such criticism on a YouTube channel made me feel a bit sad. When I mentioned it to my daughter Ramya, she reassured me by saying, "Don't worry, Dad, it has fewer views anyway."

Officer on Duty, directed by debutant Jithu Ashraf, is released in theatres on February 20, 2025. Apart from Kunchacko Boban and Jagadish, the film also features Priyamani and Vishak Nair. Kunchacko plays cop Harishankar, while Jagadish will be seen as Chandrababu.
