Thrissur: In a splendid ceremony held at Guruvayur, Malavika, daughter of renowned actors Jayaram and Parvathy, exchanged vows with Navaneeth Gireesh, a chartered accountant based in the UK. The mangalsutra was tied around Malavika's neck by Navaneeth, in the presence of esteemed guests including actor Suresh Gopi, his wife Radhika, and actress Aparna Balamurali.
Overwhelmed with joy, Jayaram and Parvathy expressed their happiness, describing their daughter's wedding as every parent's dream come true. Jayaram reminisced about his own wedding 32 years ago, highlighting the significance of tying the ‘thaali’ in the presence of Guruvayurappan.
The happiest moments in life cannot be described. Guruvayoorappan blessed this union beautifully. Just like 32 years ago when we tied the ‘thaali’ on Guruvayoorappan's feet, today, seeing my daughter's marriage fills my heart with joy,’ said Jayaram.
The ceremony was a spectacle of tradition and elegance, with Malavika adorned in a splendid red silk saree, styled as ‘madisari’ in the Tamil tradition. Navaneeth complemented her attire in a kasavu mundu and melmund ensemble. The bride looked radiant, with an eye-catching ‘nettichutti’ and a dazzling nose-pin. Her hair, which was braided down behind, was adorned with jasmine flowers, and also wore exquisite jewellery including a heavy choker, matching earrings, bangles, ‘minchi,’ and large waist band and anklets.
Makeup artist Vikas shared a glimpse of Malavika's bridal preparation on Instagram, showcasing traditional makeup to complement her attire.
Jayaram took Malavika’s hand and walked her to the ‘kalyana mandapam’ (wedding dais) where Navaneeth placed the thaali on Malavika as she was seated on Jayaram's lap.
