In a recent interview, actor R. Madhavan opened up about his relationship with his wife, Sarita, and the way she has been his pillar of support throughout his career. Known for his iconic roles in films like Alaipayuthey and Minnale, Madhavan shared personal insights about how his marriage has shaped his journey in the film industry with Filmfare Middle East. 

"I became a proper film actor after getting married," Madhavan revealed, adding that by the time his Bollywood debut Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein was released, he was already married. "She (Sarita) grew up seeing me receive all this adulation. It’s been a journey of mutual understanding."

Madhavan also spoke humorously about Sarita's love for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. "She’s a huge fan of SRK. Her knees start knocking and she melts when she sees him," he said with a slight laugh, acknowledging that his wife understands the kind of adulation fans feel when they see their idols. This, he believes, has made her more accommodating when it comes to his fame.

However, it hasn’t always been easy for Sarita. Madhavan admitted that she sometimes feels that the attention he receives has become a bit overwhelming. "She has begun telling me to stop posting all these photos on Instagram and behave my age," he said. Despite this, Madhavan assured that Sarita isn't jealous, but rather looking out for him, encouraging him to be mindful of his image as he matures.

As for his own feelings toward his wife, Madhavan expressed immense gratitude. "All actors should respect their wives. I am very grateful to Sarita," he said, stressing her unwavering support throughout his stardom.
