Venice: Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s opulent wedding in Venice turned into a celebrity fashion showcase, with the Kardashian-Jenner family stealing the spotlight in dramatic couture gowns. However, amid the glamour, Kim Kardashian’s outfit once again drew social media ire for its impracticality.

The sisters—Kim and Khloé Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner—along with matriarch Kris Jenner, attended the wedding in eye-catching ensembles that quickly became a trending topic online.

Khloé wowed in a strapless pink sequin gown with a deep sweetheart neckline, complete with a flamboyant feathered coat and black sunglasses. Kim opted for full glam in a bronze, glittering floor-length gown with thin straps, a plunging neckline, and bold diamond accessories. She paired it with dark shades for added drama.

Kendall Jenner chose a sleek black dress with spaghetti straps and corset-style bodice featuring sheer panels, while Kylie turned heads in a silver-grey silk gown with a daring V-neckline and corset detail, styled with turquoise jewellery.\

While many fans praised their style, Kim’s gown became the centre of criticism. Social media users noted her difficulty walking in the dress. One comment read, “Kim never being able to walk in her dresses irritates me so much.” Another mocked her outfit, saying it looked more bridal than appropriate for a guest: “The white. The train. The buttons. Looks like the bride’s dress.”

Kylie, too, faced critique for the pale tone of her gown, with users saying it was “too light.” Others, however, applauded the family’s fashion choices for maintaining their high-glam reputation at the lavish event.

The wedding, which also featured Matteo Bocelli singing Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love, and Sánchez donning a Dolce & Gabbana gown that took 900 hours to create, was one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of the year.

Despite the backlash, the Kardashian-Jenners proved once again they know how to make a grand fashion entrance—whether fans love it or hate it.
