Kalyani Priyadarshan debuts at Cannes 2026 in chic minimalist fashion, stunning in an all-white ensemble, custom jewellery and breezy Riviera-inspired looks.

Kalyani Priyadarshan has officially stepped into the Cannes spotlight, beginning her fashion journey at the 2026 edition of the festival with a refined, stripped-back style statement. Steering clear of the dramatic couture traditionally associated with the French Riviera, the actor opted for modern minimalism and monochrome elegance as she made her first public appearance.
As anticipation builds for her walk down the iconic red carpet, the actor’s early looks have already captured attention online, offering a refreshing approach to festival fashion. Priyadarshan’s choices so far signal a deliberate pivot towards understated luxury, combining sharp tailoring, soft silhouettes and effortless daytime dressing.
Understated all-white look at the India Pavilion
Priyadarshan marked her first official stop at the India Pavilion on 13 May, choosing a polished all-white ensemble for the occasion. She wore a tailored sleeveless blazer-style top featuring a plunging V-neckline and structured lapels, delivering a blend of power dressing and feminine restraint. The bodice, cinched at the waist and flaring gently into a peplum-inspired hem, brought a sculpted dimension to the look.
Complementing the structured top, a flowing floor-length skirt introduced movement and softness. Ruched detailing along the waist and hips lent texture to the ensemble while flattering her silhouette, reinforcing the timeless appeal of monochrome dressing.
To complete the look, Priyadarshan paired the outfit with statement diamond jewellery from Kalyan Jewellers, choosing layered necklaces and rings that added a dose of glamour without overwhelming the minimal aesthetic. She kept her makeup understated with glowing skin, rosy tones and nude lips, while soft waves framed her face.
During her conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, she revealed the craftsmanship behind her accessories, saying, “The jewellery took many, many days and many, many man-hours to make. It was a custom-made piece from Kalyan Jewellers. It's a beauty.”
She also reflected on the ease of her styling process, adding, “This look actually didn't take too long. Maybe about an hour and a half.”
Pre-red carpet look wins hearts
Before the Pavilion appearance, the 33-year-old treated fans to glimpses of her off-duty festival style. Ahead of her red carpet reveal, the actor spent time exploring Cannes, donning what became her first widely shared festival look: a bright yellow one-shoulder top with intricate pleating, paired with a white calf-length slit skirt. She finished the ensemble with Dior flats, oversized black sunglasses and minimal makeup. The candid glimpses, captured along docksides and sunlit streets, highlighted the breezy appeal of her Riviera wardrobe.

Sitting by a seaside café with sunlight illuminating her face, the actor exuded relaxed sophistication. The vibrant pop of yellow brought warmth to the frame, while minimal accessories and natural makeup elevated the simplicity of the ensemble. Another photograph showed her walking outside a luxury hotel, maintaining the effortless, travel-friendly vibe.
Priyadarshan documented the moment on social media, giving fans a casual look into her festival days.
Balancing cinema, style and festival spirit
Beyond fashion, Priyadarshan took part in a panel discussion at the India Pavilion, where she spoke about cinema, storytelling and the multifaceted experience of navigating Cannes. She described the version of herself that emerges at the festival, cinephile, fashion enthusiast and social butterfly, while also sharing relatable anecdotes about the challenges of securing film tickets and managing heels on cobblestones.
