Its Chicago location links to ‘Ironheart’ and Kang's backstory. Fan theories abound, ranging from Monica Rambeau's residence to a Steve/Peggy alternate timeline.

A mysterious 1960s-style house being constructed in Windsor Great Park has caught the attention of Marvel fans around the world. Believed to be a key location in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, the house is reportedly the site of a spaceship landing, one that many speculate may belong to Captain Marvel.
The set has been linked to various character codenames, including Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Void, adding to the intrigue surrounding the project.
Although the house is physically being built in Windsor Great Park, a strict no-fly zone with heavy security, it is said to be located in Chicago within the film's storyline.
This has raised several questions about its narrative significance. Chicago has appeared sporadically in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before. The upcoming Ironheart series is set there, and it was also revealed in Loki that Kang Variant Victor Timely grew up in the city. While episodes of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ also touched on the Windy City, no clear connection has been made to ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’
Fan speculations
Fans have not wasted any time crafting theories. One popular suggestion is that this house could now be home to Monica Rambeau, who was last seen stranded in the X-Men universe in The Marvels.
Others think it may belong to Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter in the alternate timeline where they got to live out their lives together. While interesting, these ideas are largely speculative and remain unconfirmed.
Another theory that has gained traction is the possibility that the house might be linked to Hank McCoy, better known as Beast from the ‘X-Men’.
In Marvel Comics, McCoy is from rural Illinois, not far from Chicago. If the scene in question features Beast and a spaceship, it might depict Captain Marvel visiting McCoy, adding an ‘X-Men’ connection that aligns with casting announcements for the film.
As drones are banned in Windsor Great Park, few images or leaks have emerged from the set, making fans even more eager to connect the dots themselves. The added secrecy suggests the location may be more than just a backdrop, it could be central to the film’s plot.
Star studded cast makes the mystery even bigger
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is set to bring together one of the most expansive casts the franchise has seen.
Returning characters include Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. New faces joining the Avengers universe include Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman.
In addition to them, the ‘Fantastic Four’ cast Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, will also be appearing.
The crossover continues with confirmed appearances from ‘X-Men’ legends Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.
Directed by the Russo Brothers and written by Stephen McFeely, who previously worked on ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the film promises to be a multiversal epic.
The highly anticipated ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will release on 18 December 2026, followed by ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ a year later on 17 December 2027.
