Supreme Court issues notice over alleged decade-long irregularities in Kerala Film Distributors Association.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has issued a notice on a petition seeking action based on a report that uncovered irregularities within the Kerala Film Distributors Association. The bench, comprising Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta, issued the notice to respondents.
The petition was filed by Manoj N, the proprietor of Rasika Movies. According to his plea, office-bearers of the Kerala Film Distributors Association committed widespread irregularities and misappropriated funds between 2013 and 2023. Manoj pointed out in his petition that this was confirmed in an inquiry conducted by the District Registrar.
Senior advocate V Chidambaresh and advocate Manu Krishnan appeared on behalf of Manoj. Senior advocate Santhosh Paul appeared on behalf of the Kerala Film Distributors Association.
