She was nominated for Best Director (Motion Picture), marking the first time an Indian director has been nominated in this category. The film also garnered a nomination for Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language.
Kapadia expressed her gratitude, saying, "I'm deeply honoured by this nomination and grateful to the HFPA for this recognition. This is a celebration of everyone who worked so passionately on the film."
Released on November 22, All We Imagine As Light stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam. It is an Indo-French co-production exploring complex emotional journeys.
Anasuya Sengupta Wins Best Actress at Cannes
Anasuya Sengupta made history as the first Indian to win the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival. Her stellar performance in The Shameless, directed by Konstantin Bojanov, earned her the prestigious honour in the Un Certain Regard section. Sengupta dedicated the award to the queer community and marginalized groups worldwide.
Sengupta shared her overwhelming joy, calling the recognition "beyond anything I could have ever anticipated."
Alia Bhatt Stuns at Paris Fashion Week
Alia Bhatt made her debut at Paris Fashion Week, turning heads with her striking metallic silver bustier and black off-shoulder jumpsuit. She shared memorable moments from the event, including photos with global icons like Aishwarya Rai and Kendall Jenner.

Shah Rukh Khan Honoured at the Locarno Film Festival
Shah Rukh Khan was honoured with the Pardo alla Carriera Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Locarno Film Festival. The event, held from August 7 to 17, celebrated his illustrious career. Khan, dressed in a sleek black blazer, was also celebrated for his iconic film Devdas, which was screened at the festival.

Ricky Kej's Fourth Grammy Nomination
Indian musician Ricky Kej has been nominated for his fourth Grammy Award for his album Break of Dawn, competing in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category. Kej expressed his pride in the nomination, calling the album a reflection of his environmental beliefs.
He said, "Break of Dawn is a new-age album based on ancient Indian rags, designed to promote mental health and wellness."
Guneet Monga's Anuja Nominated for an Oscar
Guneet Monga’s Anuja has been shortlisted for the Best Live-Action Short Film category at the 2025 Oscars. The film sheds light on the issue of child labour in the garment industry. This marks Monga’s third Oscar nomination, following the success of The Elephant Whisperers and Period: End of Sentence.
In addition, the British-Indian film Santosh, directed by Sandhya Suri, is also in the Oscars race, having premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
