Actress Honey Rose says negative comments no longer have an impact on her. She shared that while negativity affected her in her younger years, it no longer holds any sway over her now. In an interview with Rekha Menon, Honey Rose opened up about her views on life and comfort.
“I enjoy attending public events. I love the vibe and dressing in nice clothes. Preparing for such occasions is something I enjoy. I only wear clothes that I feel comfortable. If I feel confident and comfortable, I’m okay. But if I feel uncomfortable, I become self-conscious. Sometimes, clothes I try on at home feel fine, but when I step outside, they may not feel as comfortable. Especially with online media capturing everything on camera, it can be tough at times. But I don’t let it bother me,” Honey Rose said.
She also expressed her gratitude for being invited to events, especially inaugurations. “It’s a blessing to be invited. I love seeing people make time from their busy schedules to come and see us. It’s a magical feeling when people come to see us, even in the heat or rain, and show their love. I enjoy it and stay until I’ve taken selfies with all those who came to see me. Every event brings a lot of stories.”
Honey Rose emphasized her desire for a peaceful life. “I prefer living peacefully, happy and without causing conflicts or interfering in others' matters. I do come across some comments, but I don’t always read them. Even if I do, they don’t affect me. I’m not interested in negative comments forwarded to me, and I try to avoid such things in life. When I was younger, negativity affected me, but I took time to move past it. As I’ve grown, I’ve realized that if I get upset about what others say, I’ll only waste time,” she concluded.
Earlier, Honey Rose had accused businessman Boby Chemmanur of using derogatory language against her during an incident that occurred four months ago.
Rose publicly disclosed the matter on social media earlier this week, revealing her decision to lodge a police complaint. She also warned that she might extend her complaint to Chemmanur’s close associates if necessary. Her initial post, which did not name Chemmanur, triggered widespread cyber-attacks against her.
Authorities have since arrested around two dozen people involved in these attacks.
Honey Rose, who made her acting debut in the 2005 Malayalam film ‘Boy Friend’, gained widespread recognition with the 2012 film ‘Trivandrum Lodge’.
She is a prominent figure in the entertainment industry and is often seen in public events.
