Kochi: South Indian actor Honey Rose has publicly responded to a person who insulted her with sexually coloured remarks in a recent social media post. The actress expressed her decision to take legal action against the individual after facing such derogatory comments.

In her post shared on Instagram on Sunday, Honey Rose clarified that while she normally ignore such 'cries' from individuals with mental health issues in tne name of sympathy, she has now decided to take a stand and proceed legally. 

Honey Rose went on to explain that after being subjected to this person’s inappropriate innuendo, she decided not to attend any functions hosted by this individual, including inaugurations. She claimed that now the person was intentionally dragging her name on social media to tarnish her reputation and make comments that are detrimental to womanhood.

The actor also revealed that people close to her have started questioning her silence and wondered whether she was enjoying such disrespectful statements or accepting them without objection. Honey Rose clarified that this post was a direct response to those concerns.

In her statement, Honey Rose raised question about whether a man can humiliate a woman simply because of his wealth and power. She further explained  that if a question is  raised whether the Indian legal system offers any protection for women in such cases, his actions prima facie constitute the crimes of speaking against women with a sexually suggestive intention and following them with the same intention.
