Actress Honey Rose opened up about how she entered the film industry and her experiences in her early years of acting in a candid interview with actor Baburaj on the YouTube channel of the star organization 'AMMA'. The actress, who has garnered fame for her remarkable performances in Veera Simha Reddy, Biriyani, Ring Master shared how a seemingly ordinary day of watching a film shoot changed the course of her life.

Honey revealed that the turning point in her career came when she visited the shooting location of the film Meerayude Dukhavum Muthuvinte Swapnavum, directed by Vinayan, in Moolamattom, Thodupuzha. "We all went to watch the shooting. We have a company business, and the movie location was the house of a lady who worked there. At that time, the production controller of that film asked me if I was interested in acting. He said I looked quite decent," she recalled. The news quickly spread through the village, and her curiosity about acting grew stronger. Honey shared that this interaction sparked a desire to pursue acting, but it wasn’t until later that her dream would begin to take shape.

At the time of the conversation, Honey was studying in the seventh grade. Vinayan shared that he would like her to wait until she finishes her studies before taking up acting. However, she eventually forgot about it until one day, when she was finishing her tenth grade, Vinayan called her to act in his movie Boyfriend. "He called me to act in Boyfriend when I was finishing 10th grade. Manikuttan was the hero, and there were two actresses in the movie," Honey said. It marked the beginning of her film career.

Reflecting on her first film, Honey couldn’t hide her excitement. "When I acted in my first film, I was extremely excited. The shooting was at Christ College in Irinjalakuda. I still remember running through its veranda...," she shared with a smile. Honey also recalled her first dialogue, a simple line, "Why aren’t you picking up my phone?" which she delivered without much trouble. However, it wasn’t all easy for the young actress. "There was one dialogue I had to deliver while crying. It was very difficult to say," she confessed.

During her early days of acting, Honey had her share of interactions with the director, Vinayan. She revealed that while Vinayan was always encouraging and never scolded her during individual shots, there was one moment that stood out. "There was a wide shot of the audience and junior artists being taken. He scolded everyone one by one, and when he came to me, he said, 'Is it enough to just stand like this as if you have swallowed a fruit?' He never said anything other than that," she remembered fondly.

Honey also spoke about her first male co-star, Manikuttan, and their work together. "Manikuttan is a complete actor. He knew dancing, fighting, everything. As for me, I was dramatic if they asked me to put a step forward," she admitted, recalling her struggles with dance. "Prasanna Master’s assistant used to scold me a lot. I had learned classical dance, but it was a fast-number song, so it was difficult. In the end, they gave me some small steps," she added. While she was initially not interested in learning dance, Honey shared that her family had insisted she learn Bharatanatyam, and now, after years, she has grown to appreciate it. "Now I am interested and wish to perform classical dance after proper training," she said.

Honey Rose also addressed the issue of online hate comments. "Let them speak, they have their thoughts. I don't get affected by it because I don’t see them. If we listen to all of it, then we won’t be at peace, and our life will be dark," she stated, emphasising the importance of not letting negativity affect one's peace of mind.

As for the future, Honey has big aspirations for her career. She revealed that she would love to take on new roles and explore different genres. "I would like to act as a police officer and do action, or I would love to do a biopic," she expressed.
