Harry Styles briefly collapsed on stage after appearing to choke on water during his Wembley concert before recovering and returning to perform the next day.

Harry Styles sparked concern among fans after briefly collapsing on stage during a concert at Wembley Stadium in London when he appeared to choke on water while performing his hit song ‘As It Was’.
The incident took place on Friday, June 26, during one of the singer's 12 scheduled Wembley performances as part of his ‘Together, Together’ global residency. Videos shared widely across social media captured the unexpected moment, showing Styles falling backwards onto the stage before recovering within seconds and later returning to perform the following night's concert.
The 32-year-old singer appeared unharmed after the brief scare, but footage of the incident quickly spread online, prompting fans to express concern over both his wellbeing and the response from those around him.
What happened on stage?
The incident unfolded during the closing moments of ‘As It Was’, when Styles performed his trademark "whale" move, a fan-favourite routine in which he sprays water high into the air.
After taking a drink from a black bottle, the singer appeared to choke on the remaining water. Moments later, he bent forward before falling onto his back on the Wembley stage.
Videos recorded by concertgoers showed Styles coughing repeatedly while lying on the floor. He covered his mouth with his hand as he coughed and held his abdomen while trying to regain his breathing. He remained on the stage for around 17 seconds before standing up, waving to the crowd and exiting in good spirits.
The following evening, Styles returned to Wembley for his next scheduled performance, suggesting the incident had no lasting impact on the tour.
Fans react to viral footage
Clips of the incident circulated rapidly across TikTok, X and other social media platforms, where many fans shared messages of relief after seeing Styles recover.
Others questioned why no members of the production or medical team appeared to reach the singer during the brief incident. Although the episode lasted less than 20 seconds and Styles quickly resumed normal activity, some viewers felt someone should have checked on him immediately.
Heatwave conditions at Wembley
The concert took place during an intense heatwave across the United Kingdom, with fans noting that the back of Styles' shirt appeared soaked with sweat during the performance.
According to weather reports, temperatures reached 37.3 degrees Celsius in Suffolk on June 26, setting a new UK record for the hottest June day for the third consecutive day. London also experienced temperatures approaching 36 degrees Celsius.
An extreme heat warning remained in effect across parts of eastern and south-eastern England following the concert.
The Met Office warned: “Adverse health effects are likely to be experienced by those vulnerable to extreme heat.”
It also said: “The wider population are likely to experience some adverse health effects including sunburn or heat exhaustion (dehydration, nausea, fatigue) and other heat related illnesses.”
Tour continues as planned
Despite the scare, Styles continued with his Wembley residency and is expected to complete the London leg of the ‘Together, Together’ tour before travelling to São Paulo, Brazil, Mexico City and New York's Madison Square Garden for a 30-show run. The global residency will conclude with performances in Australia.
Meanwhile, speculation surrounding Styles' reported relationship with actor Zoë Kravitz continues to attract attention. Rumours of an engagement have intensified in recent months after the pair were photographed together in London, with Kravitz wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand. Neither Styles nor Kravitz has publicly commented on the reports.
