Bengaluru: Fans of Game of Thrones were in for a pleasant surprise this weekend when Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, best known for playing Jaime Lannister in the hit HBO series, was spotted enjoying a meal at the popular Rameshwaram Café in Bengaluru.

A woman named Shakira, who happened to be at the café, shared a video of the unexpected celebrity sighting on Instagram. In her video, she recounted how she was casually filming herself at the café when she noticed the Danish actor in the background, happily tucking into a traditional South Indian breakfast of idlis and dosas.

“So I was at @therameshwaramcafe, Bengaluru when I was randomly filming myself and just found @nikolajwilliamcw aka Jaime Lannister from @gameofthrones standing just behind me — it was a star-struck moment,” Shakira wrote in her caption. She also shared a selfie with the actor.

The video quickly went viral on social media, with fans expressing excitement over the Hollywood star’s unexpected visit to the city.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau rose to international fame for his portrayal of Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones, earning two Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Though he began his acting career in Denmark, notably in the 1994 thriller Nightwatch, he has since built a successful international career across European and American cinema.
