Renowned choreographer-director Farah Khan, who has been a key figure in Hindi cinema, recently shared her thoughts on working with the next generation of Bollywood stars, including Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, and Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late Sridevi.
Farah reflected on her emotional journey, recounting her early days with Aamir Khan. "It feels surreal because I started my career choreographing Aamir in ''Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar'. Shortly after that, Junaid was born. I remember all of us, including Mansoor Khan, going to Aamir's house to congratulate him," she said.
Now, decades later, Farah is choreographing Junaid in the upcoming film 'Loveyapa'. She described the experience as bittersweet. "It's incredible to work with Junaid now. It’s like coming full circle. I started my journey with Aamir, and today I’m working with his son. It’s moments like these that make me realize how long I’ve been around," she shared.
Farah also spoke about her close bond with the Kapoor family. "I was quite close to Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, and their family. Seeing Khushi step into the industry feels equally special. These connections make the journey all the more meaningful," she added.
Loveyapa, featuring Junaid and Khushi in lead roles, is a modern romantic tale promising memorable performances, vibrant music, and stunning visuals. The film is set to release in theaters on February 7, 2025.
Farah, who recently celebrated her birthday, received heartfelt wishes from her close friends Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa. The couple shared a post on Instagram, calling Farah “the best” and reminiscing about their close bond, including moments from their 2021 wedding where Farah played a special role.
