New Delhi: Actor Isha Rikhi slammed rumours around her marriage to rapper Badshah and urged fans and followers to ignore fake news circulating online.

Rikhi and Badshah have recently announced their divorce and said it was a mutual decision. The couple was married for five months.

Rikhi shared a note on her Instagram story on Saturday and said that after the announcement, there have been several fake reports targeting her marriage with the rapper.

"There are several rumours circulating about my marriage. It is shocking to hear and read the news reports appearing in certain quarters. I request not spread any rumours regarding my marriage or separation," she wrote.

"I also urge the general public not to believe anything they read or hear unless the information comes directly from me or through my official handles. Thank you, Isha Rikhi," she added.

The couple started dating in 2021 and tied the knot earlier this year in a private ceremony. They shared the statement on their respective Instagram handles on Monday and said it has been a mutual decision to separate and requested for privacy.

"We have mutually decided to part ways and move forward on our separate paths. This decision has been made with mutual respect, and we kindly request to respect our privacy," read the statement.

This will be our statement on the matter. We sincerely request there be no further speculation or assumptions regarding our relationship," it added.

The rapper was earlier married to Jasmine Masih. They got married in 2012 and announced their divorce in 2020, and have a daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh. PTI
