Actor Fahadh Faasil has spoken about his wife, Nazriya Nazim, during the promotions of his upcoming Telugu film ‘Don’t Trouble the Trouble’. The actor jokingly referred to Nazriya as a child while explaining why people often compliment his patience when working with children. His remarks come amid recurring divorce rumours surrounding the couple, who have been married since 2014.

During a promotional event in Tamil Nadu, Fahadh shared a light-hearted anecdote about his personal life before turning the conversation towards his young co-star, Ssara Palekar.

Speaking about his ability to handle children, Fahadh said that his experience at home had prepared him for the task.

“I’m married to a child,” the actor quipped.

“People tell me that my child management skills and patience are great. So, I say, ‘I have one at home. I’ve been dealing with that.’ But, for the first time, I met a child who could deal with me,” he added.

Fahadh was referring to Nazriya, who is 12 years younger than him. The couple tied the knot in 2014 and have since collaborated on films such as Anjali Menon’s ‘Bangalore Days’ (2014) and Anwar Rasheed’s ‘Trance’ (2020).

The couple has occasionally been the subject of speculation about a possible separation.

However, neither Fahadh nor Nazriya has publicly addressed the divorce rumours. The two have continued to share glimpses of their personal lives on social media.

Fahadh Faasil calls Ssara Palekar his favourite co-star

Fahadh's remarks about Nazriya came while he was discussing his experience working with child actor Ssara Palekar in ‘Don’t Trouble the Trouble’.

The actor revealed that Ssara would often help him when he struggled to remember his dialogues during filming.

“Every time I messed up my line, she corrected me, saying, ‘Sir, I think it’s this way.’ She by-hearted my lines as well,” he said.

Praising the young actor's patience, Fahadh added, “I’ve never worked with such a patient actor, and she’s my favourite co-star at the moment.”

He also spoke fondly of the time the cast and crew spent making the film, expressing hope that audiences would enjoy watching it as much as the team enjoyed working on it.

“We had a ball making this movie. I just hope that you guys have half the fun we had making this film; that will be enough for us,” he said.

Written and directed by Shashank Yeleti, ‘Don’t Trouble the Trouble’ is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and SS Karthikeya, and presented by SS Rajamouli.

The fantasy film features music by Kaala Bhairava, cinematography by Brad Francis and editing by Praveen Anthony. It marks Fahadh Faasil’s first Telugu film as a lead actor and is scheduled to release in theatres on October 2.
