The title look of the upcoming Malayalam film “Gracias El Clásico,” starring Tovino Thomas and Nazriya Nazim, was officially unveiled in a high-profile global launch held live at Barcelona’s iconic Camp Nou stadium during the Real Madrid vs Barcelona El Clásico match kickoff.
In a rare crossover of cinema and football, the title reveal took place inside the stadium at 9 pm Spanish time (12:30 am IST), with the actors themselves unveiling the title look while present among spectators. The launch was simultaneously streamed through the lead actors’ social media handles, drawing strong attention from fans across India and abroad.
The timing of the reveal coincided with one of the most crucial fixtures in the La Liga title race, making it a notable moment for Malayalam cinema on an international stage.
Directed by Muhsin Parari, the film brings together a prominent creative team. The screenplay is jointly written by Parari and filmmaker Zakariya, best known for Sudani from Nigeria. The project is produced by Sajin Ali, Abbas Thirunavaya, Sameer Thahir, and Shyju Khalid under the banners A & H S Productions, Happy Hours Entertainments, Babuettan Films, and The Writing Company.
The film’s technical crew includes Sushin Shyam (music), Vishnu Thandassery (Director of Photography), Bles Thomas (editing), and Harshad Ali (creative direction). Other key contributors include Masher Hamsa (costume design), Ronex Xavier (make-up), Ouseph John (production design), Shijin Hutton (sound design), and Fazal A Backer (sound mixing), among several others.
