Kochi:  Drishyam 2 movie, which was released on February 19 midnight, was leaked on Telegram channel.  The movie was released on Amazon Prime at midnight and immediately afterwards the leaked version was available on Telegram channel. The movie producers are yet to react officially on this.

This is for the first time that a big budget movie in Malayalam is getting released in OTT platform. The sequel to Drishyam arrived on the popular streaming platform Amazon Prime video on Friday and is a direct continuation of the events that conspired in the original Drishyam which was released in 2013.

Drishyam 2 has the same cast of characters namely Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba and Esther as part of the family. Other main characters include Asha Sarath, Siddique and new addition Murali Gopy. The film was directed by Jeetu Joseph.
