Manjith Divakar, the director and screenwriter, has raised concerns over the alleged unauthorised distribution of a pirated copy of the Vipin Das-directed film 'Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil'. Divakar shared a video on his Facebook page showing a young man watching the film on his phone.
“This is a video of a man aboard the Jayanti Express train from Thiruvananthapuram to Ernakulam, watching the entire movie #Guruvayoorambalanadayil, which was released worldwide yesterday. A friend captured this video and shared it with me; it was too late by then. The train would have passed Kayamkulam station by now. The unauthorised sharing of this movie brings suffering to many individuals. It has been only a few hours since the film premiered in theatres. The financial loss suffered by the producer is significant. Those responsible for this illegal act, as well as those who distribute it, will face legal consequences. This serves as a warning,” read the Facebook post.
The movie has garnered significant audience attention and has already become a huge success in theatres. Directed by Vipin Das and starring Prithviraj and Basil Joseph, the film also features Anaswara Rajan, Nikhila Vimal, Jagadeesh, and others. It includes several interesting guest appearances and references to other movies, adding to its appeal.
