Actress Raadhika Sarathkumar recently revealed that it was actor Dhanush who first informed her about the romance between Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, which blossomed on the sets of the 2015 Tamil film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. This revelation comes amid the controversy over a three-second clip featured in the new Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale, which delves into the personal life and career of the popular actress.

In an interview shared in the documentary, Raadhika, who played an important role in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, recounted a phone conversation with Dhanush during the shooting of the film. She said, “Dhanush called me and asked, ‘Sister, do you have any shame at all?’ I was like, ‘What is he saying?’ He said, ‘Aren’t you aware of what's happening? Don’t you know that Wikki (Vignesh) and Nayan (Nayanthara) are dating?’ I was shocked and replied, ‘What the hell are you saying? I knew nothing.’”

Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, produced by Dhanush and directed by Vignesh Shivan, marked a significant moment in the personal lives of both Nayanthara and Vignesh. It was on the sets of this film that the two stars fell in love, though their relationship remained private for some time before they eventually made it public.

The controversy arose with the release of the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. Actor-producer Dhanush sent a legal notice to Nayanthara demanding a hefty Rs 10 crore compensation for the inclusion of a brief, three-second behind-the-scenes footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. In response to the notice, Nayanthara released an open letter on social media, stating that Dhanush's legal action was rooted in a personal grudge against her and Vignesh. The actress expressed her disappointment at Dhanush’s actions and emphasized that the footage used was minimal and inoffensive.

The ongoing dispute has sparked considerable public discussion, with fans and industry insiders weighing in on the matter, adding more drama to the already well-known love story of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan.
