RDX (Robert Dony Xavier) was a commercial success at the box office. This legal issue emerged shortly after similar allegations were made against the producers of the hit film Manjummel Boys. In that case, it was alleged that, after receiving production funds, neither the principal amount nor the profit share was paid. Actor and co-producer Soubin Shahir was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Kochi, following a complaint from an investor who contributed Rs 7 crore but was not paid, despite the film grossing up to Rs 250 crores.
