In connection with the re-release of Ajith’s film Mankatha, fifteen years after its original release, director Venkat Prabhu has shared a note on social media that has captured the attention of fans. Reflecting on the moments when Ajith and Vijay came together for a photo during the film’s shoot, Prabhu’s post offers a glimpse into the memories behind one of Tamil cinema’s most iconic films.

The meeting between the two stars on the sets of Mankatha in 2011 is regarded as one of the most significant moments in the history of Tamil cinema. In his note, Prabhu mentions that such a moment is unlikely to occur again. In his post, he wrote:

“It’s time to re live Mankatha from today!! Please don’t reveal the climax.. and spoil the experience!! This picture is the மறக்க முடியாத moment during #mankatha shoot!!! Which can never ever happen in the near future!! Hope and wish I am wrong!!! LETS ENJOY MANKATHA”

Mankatha, Ajith’s fiftieth film, created waves in South Indian cinema through his portrayal of the anti-hero Vinayak Mahadevan. The re-release of the film is already breaking new records, with advance bookings surpassing even those of Vijay’s Ghilli re-release.
