Malayalam actor Ansiba Hassan has formally requested clarity from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) regarding a show-cause notice served to her. In an email sent to the actors' association, which has now surfaced publicly, Ansiba stated that she would provide a formal reply once the organisation specifies exactly which clause of its constitution she is alleged to have breached.

The disciplinary notice was issued to Ansiba following her public remarks against fellow actors Tini Tom and Lakshmi Priya. AMMA alleged that her comments violated guidelines outlined in the association's bylaws, bringing disrepute to the organisation.

However, in her correspondence, Ansiba argued that her issues with both individuals are strictly personal. She pointed out that AMMA's president had previously declared on a public platform that her dispute with Lakshmi Priya was not an association matter.

Furthermore, Ansiba noted that while her grievance involving Tini Tom is of a more serious nature—and reportedly under consideration by the executive committee—the association failed to take any action despite being fully aware of the ongoing friction and complaints.

Consequently, the actor demanded that AMMA identify the specific section under Article 5 of its bylaws that she has supposedly violated, alongside the precise nature of her alleged misconduct.

According to the show-cause notice, Ansiba's public allegations have adversely affected the functioning and image of the association. AMMA maintains that the grievances should have been resolved internally rather than being aired in public, warning of potential disciplinary action if her explanation proves unsatisfactory.

Meanwhile, in the latest development, show-cause notices have also been served to Tini Tom, Lakshmi Priya, and Joy Mathew for their public remarks as well.
