After months of speculation, Anirudh Ravichander's uncle has made a statement that has put his reported wedding to Kavya Maran back in the spotlight. Here's what he said and what has been officially confirmed so far.

"Why This Kolaveri Di?" Fans have been asking that question for months about the mystery surrounding Anirudh Ravichander’s personal life. For over a year, rumours have linked the hit composer with Sunrisers Hyderabad CEO Kavya Maran. Now, the speculation has taken its biggest turn yet after someone from Anirudh's family appeared to confirm the wedding.
During an interview on Kutty Padmini's KPTV YouTube channel, Veteran actor Y. G. Mahendran, who is Anirudh's uncle, spoke fondly about his nephew while congratulating him on what he described as a major milestone.
According to Mahendran, Anirudh is "heading towards a very big wedding." When asked directly whether the reports linking him to Kavya Maran were accurate, he replied that, based on what he had been told, it was "a sure thing" and that the two are getting married.
He also praised Kavya, saying the couple would make a wonderful match.
Marriage rumours involving Anirudh and Kavya have surfaced repeatedly since 2025. Earlier reports claimed the two had been seeing each other privately, with speculation ranging from family meetings to wedding planning. At the time, Anirudh brushed aside the rumours, asking fans on social media to "chill out" and not believe everything they read.
Some reports have suggested that the wedding could be held overseas, possibly followed by a reception in Chennai. However, these details remain unverified and fans are waiting for confirmation from the couple themselves.
Until Anirudh or Kavya speaks for themselves, the wedding remains unconfirmed. But if his uncle's words are anything to go by, the music composer may soon be preparing for the biggest celebration of his life, not on stage, but at the altar.
