Chennai: In what could be one of the most talked-about unions in the entertainment and sports business worlds, reports have surfaced suggesting that popular music director Anirudh Ravichander is all set to get married. The bride-to-be is reportedly Kavya Maran, executive director of Sun TV Network and co-owner of the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad.

While neither Anirudh nor Kavya has issued an official statement confirming the news, speculation has been rife for some time. The rumours gained momentum after the duo was spotted together on several occasions over the past year, sparking whispers of a budding relationship.

Who is Kavya Maran?

Kavya, 33, is the daughter of Kalanithi Maran, Chairman and founder of the Sun Group and Kavery. Kavya has played a key role in managing Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2018 and is often seen cheering for her team from the stands during IPL matches. 

Who is Anirudh Ravichander?

Anirudh, on the other hand, is one of the most celebrated music composers in the South Indian film industry. He shot to instant fame with the viral hit "Why This Kolaveri Di" from the Dhanush-starrer 3, which marked his debut. Since then, he has delivered numerous chartbusters and recently composed music for Ajith Kumar’s film Vidaa Muyarchi.
