Ameesha Patel has reacted after a non-bailable warrant was issued in a 2017 event dispute case in Moradabad. The actress said the matter was already settled and denied fresh allegations.

Mumbai: Actress Ameesha Patel has reacted after a Moradabad court reportedly issued a non-bailable warrant against her in connection with a long-running dispute linked to a 2017 event booking. The actress said the matter was already resolved years ago and described the latest developments as based on false allegations.
Taking to social media, Ameesha addressed the reports and clarified her stand, saying the case was an old issue that had previously been settled through an agreement.
In her statement, the actress claimed that a settlement had been signed and the agreed amount was paid in full.
Her Instagram story read, “Media reports suggest about certain proceedings at Moradabad by one Pawan Verma. I wish to inform one and all that this is a v v old matter which was years back in which the said Pawan Verma had signed a settlement deed and received the entire agreed amount. Despite this it seems he has lodged proceedings making false allegations. My lawyers are initiating appropriate criminal proceedings of cheating against this person to expose his lies while I prefer to focus on my work and ignore people who choose to make a public spectacle for gaining attention on false pretexts.”
What is the case about?
The dispute dates back to 2017, when an event organiser from Moradabad alleged that Ameesha Patel had been booked to attend a wedding function. According to the complaint, an advance payment was made and arrangements for her visit were reportedly completed.
The organiser claimed that the actress did not attend the event and later made only a partial refund. The complaint further alleged that a cheque issued as part of the refund bounced, leading to legal proceedings.
Reports suggest that the court issued multiple summons asking the actress to appear. After her absence during hearings, a non-bailable warrant was reportedly issued.
