Actress Amala Paul, who rose to fame from Mollywood to Kollywood, finally opened up about the rumours on her divorce with director AL Vijay. It was alleged that actor Dhanush was responsible for the divorce between Amala and Vijay. In an interview with a Tamil news portal, Amala defended Dhanush and rejected the rumours.
“Many stories on my divorce are being circulated on social media. All these triggered to unnecessary controversies. I decided to get divorce from Vijay due to personal reasons. Nobody from the industry is involved in it. Dhanush is one of my well-wishers,” said Amala.
At the same time, the ‘Aadai’ actress asserted that she has no plans to get married soon.
“I will declare on my marriage after the release of my upcoming movies,” added Amala.
Producer Alagappan, father of director Vijay alleged that Dhanush was responsible for the divorce between Amala and Vijay. After marrying Vijay, Amala wanted to quit the industry. But she was on contract of ‘Ammakanakku’ produced by Dhanush. Hence, Dhanush forced and convinced her to act in the movie. Alagappan’s statement had triggered a controversy in the film industry.
On the work front, Amala will be next seen in ‘Adho Antha Paravai Pola’ directed by KR Vinoth. The movie will hit theatres on February 28.
