Actress Mamta Mohandas has marked 19 years in the acting industry, having made her debut in 2005 with the film ‘Mayookham’, directed by Hariharan. Over the years, Mamta has established herself in the Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada film industries, and also gained recognition as a playback singer.

Mamta has been living between Los Angeles and India for several years, following her battles with cancer and vitiligo, a skin disease. Recently, she revealed that she has relocated to Kerala and is currently in a relationship. The actress shared insights into her personal life during an interview with a national media outlet.

"I was in love with a guy in Los Angeles. Because it was a long-distance relationship, that love didn't last long. Relationships are important to me. But it should also go very smoothly. I don't want extra stress from a relationship when I consider other aspects of my life. Let’s try to have it at least three times. Give it a chance. But the pressure beyond that cannot be sustained. I don't need such a relationship. Now I'm dating someone. And happy. Let's see what life has in store for us and where it takes us," Mamta said in the interview.

In 2011, Mamta married businessman Prajith Padmanabhan, but the marriage lasted only a year, with the couple divorcing in 2012.
