Malayalam actress Jyothi Krishna heaped praise on Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 after attending the dazzling Dubai premiere, describing her experience as “an absolutely mesmerising experience... Truly a film that will stay in my heart for a long time!”
Sharing a video on Instagram, Jyothi Krishna said, “Hi guys, it's not something that I do, but I have come today to review a film. I am currently in Dubai... I have watched the first show itself. I am not well, but I was determined to watch 'Kantara'. What to say, I am truly mind blown.” She lauded the film’s storytelling, visuals, and execution, noting, “If the first part gave a goosebumps moment at the climax portion, then this second part gives us the same goosebumps at several points.”

Jyothi Krishna also highlighted Rishab Shetty’s contribution as director and lead actor, saying, “Rishab Shetty, as usual, performed in 20 percent extra in acting and has offered something spectacular.” She appreciated veteran actor Jayaram’s role as well, adding, “Jayaramettan has a good role in the film which he played flawlessly... several shots were so impressive, something that Jayaram usually didn't get in other films.”

A fan told ANI, “Today being a holiday, and Kantara is the most expected film. We wanted to support the film and have a good time on the holiday. It is a continuation of the first time, and we are expecting a good show.”
Other fans shared their enthusiasm, with one saying she wanted to watch the first day, first show, while another expressed pride in the sequel: “This part was really good as it shows the pride of Karnataka. In terms of the acting, I believe this was the best I have ever seen. They have met the expectations of the audience.”
The trailer for Kantara Chapter 1, unveiled in September, introduces a child trying to uncover the mystery behind his father’s disappearance, setting the stage for a gripping legend.
