
Actress Charmila who was one of the leading heroines in Mollywood during the early 90’s dismissed the reports saying she is hospitalised and struggling without any support due to financial problems.
“I got injured after falling in the bathroom and was admitted to a government hospital. I was bed ridden as I got injured on the joint of rib and thighs. Only my mother and 10-year-old son were at my home. So my son called an ambulance and I was taken to a government hospital. I was admitted at a government hospital not because of my poverty. I got the best treatment from the hospital. I can walk now. The hospital staff were there to care and attend me always,” said Charmila on a Facebook Live video.
Charmila also noted that government hospital provides the best health care.
She was responding to reports claiming that she was admitted at a government hospital due to bone related illness and there were nobody to assist her. She asked the media to never report such gosspis and asked to never make any statment on her personal life without contacting her.
Charmila was taken to Facebook Live by director Manjith Divakar, who is also seen in the video.
The director noted that fake reports on Charmila were being circulated on social media. Charmila was admitted at a government hospital to get the treatment of an expert doctor.
She will be next seen in ‘Cochin Shaadi at Chennai 03’ directed by Manjith Divakar. The movie will hit screens on January 23.
Earlier in an interview, Charmila had opened up about her life full of miseries.
She has been living with her son after getting divorce from husband Rajesh, a software engineer.
According to reports, Tamil actor Vishal has been sponsoring her son’s education.
Recently, she made a comeback to Mollywood with Dulquer Salmaan starrer 'Vikramadithyan'. She also acted in the web series on Jayalalithaa directed by Gautham Menon.
