Ernakulam Principal Sessions Judge Honey M. Varghese is scheduled to pronounce the judgment at 11 am today

Kochi: Just hours ahead of the final verdict in the high-profile actress assault case, Pulsar Suni’s mother, Shobhana, approached the court seeking a re-evaluation of her son’s frozen bank accounts. The hearing comes as the legal battle draws to a close after more than eight and a half years.
Ernakulam Principal Sessions Judge Honey M. Varghese is scheduled to pronounce the judgment on Monday, with court proceedings set to begin at 11 a.m. The actress involved in the case will not attend the court in person and is expected to follow the proceedings from home, according to media reports.

The attack took place on 17 February 2017 at Athani in Ernakulam while the actress was travelling from Thrissur for a film shoot. According to the prosecution, Pulsar Suni and his associates allegedly abducted, assaulted, and filmed compromising visuals of the actress as part of a contracted crime. The main accused were arrested shortly after the incident, and actor Dileep was taken into custody in July of the same year.
