Mumbai: Actor Yash has started filming his new movie, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’. Known for his role in KGF, Yash shared a glimpse from the set, showing himself in a white shirt, jeans, and a short haircut on the first day of shooting.

Sharing the photo from the first day on the film set on his X handle, Yash wrote, "The journey begins #Toxic."

The film's production began on August 8 in Bengaluru, according to the PR team for Toxic. Before starting the shoot, Yash visited several temples in Karnataka, including Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmastala, and Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramanya.

Geethu Mohandas is directing the film, which was announced in December 2023. Recent reports have suggested that Tara Sutaria will play a leading role opposite Yash. However, Tara Sutaria addressed these rumours on Instagram in July, stating that the recent articles about her involvement in the project were not accurate. Without mentioning the film's name, Tara posted, "Hello all! The articles released over the last few days about a project and I are false and not shared by me."She added, "Whenever there is something to share, I will share it with all of you! My love always. PS - Nobody is second to anyone."

Yash shared his excitement about the film on Instagram, quoting Rumi: “‘What you seek is seeking you’ - Rumi A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups #TOXIC.”

The film is set to be released on April 10, 2025. The film, which is expected to be action-packed and revolve around the drug mafia, has also seen rumours about Kareena Kapoor Khan joining the cast, but no official announcements about the female cast have been made yet.
