Venjaramoodu: Mollywood actor Suraj Venjaramoodu, MLA DK Murali and some volunteers helped the family of Anil, a partially paralysed man here. Anil became partially paralysed after falling from a building while doing  construction work.

The actor and MLA visited the man at his residence after coming to know about his pathetic condition through Mathrubhumi News on April 10.

Anil Kumar (48) met with the accident in 2016. The injury on his spinal cord left him partially paralysed for four years.

He is unable to do even his basic needs without the help of others. As the head of the family became bedridden, Anil’s family is struggling each day in the house which is in a dilapidated condition.

His wife was working as a temporary employee in the Anganwadi close to their house. But unfortunately, she lost the job. At present, the family has no income to meet their daily needs.

The couple’s children are studying in 10th and 8th classes. Anil’s old mother is also living with his family.

MLA DK Murali informed the condition of Anil and his family to Suraj and some volunteers in the district.
Suraj accompanied by the MLA visited Anil on Sunday and handed over groceries to the family.
Charity worker Sabari donated Rs 5000 to the family. 

CI Vijayaraghavan, Saji VV, S Anil, Shibi Mackonam and others also accompanied Suraj and the MLA.
Leela Ravi hospital director Leela Ravi also visited the family and handed over Rs 10,000 to them.
