Kochi: Malayalam film actor Siddique has lodged a formal complaint with the Kerala State Police Chief accusing actress Revathy Sampath of criminal conspiracy. Siddique alleged that Revathy has been fabricating and spreading false and damaging accusations against him.
In his letter, Siddique outlines his concerns about a series of allegations made by Revathy. He claims that she first raised accusations against him in 2018 on social media, alleging inappropriate behaviour during a film preview in 2016.

Siddique further asserts that Revathy’s allegations came up again in 2021. According to Siddique’s complaint, on June 30, 2021, Abhildev, a co-founder of Kerala Fashion League and one of the 14 people named by Revathy, publicly denied her allegations and claimed that she was expelled from Weifang Medical University in China for misconduct. He also alleged that Revathy had taken a loan from a bank manager on the list and has not refuted or challenged his claims to date.
On August 24, 2024, Revathy appeared on television, making serious accusations of rape against Siddique. Siddique refutes these claims, stating that he had only met her once during a film preview in early 2016, and that no such incident occurred. He argues that her new allegations are inconsistent with her previous claims and are part of a broader effort to discredit him and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).
Siddique also points out discrepancies in Revathy’s statements about her age and educational background. “The information available on internet shows the date of birth of Revathy Sampath as 28.07.1994. Hence in January 2016 she could not have been a person who had just completed her Plus Two, as claimed by her in her present media appearances. Further, it would be after her return to India following her expulsion from the University in China,” the letter says. He believes that a coordinated effort is underway to create false narratives and requests the police to conduct a thorough investigation into these allegations and uncover the truth behind what he describes as a criminal conspiracy.
Siddique also urges the police to take decisive action to address these issues and bring those responsible for fabricating and spreading false allegations to justice.
