The blockbuster success of the film ‘Aadujeevitham’ has catapulted it into the prestigious Rs 100 crore club within an astonishing nine days of its theatrical release. Directed by Blessy and starring Prithviraj, this cinematic marvel has amassed a staggering Rs 100 crores in global box office collections, earning the title of the fastest-grossing film in Malayalam cinema history.
While speculations regarding the film's entry into the 100 crore club had been circulating among film trackers, confirmation came directly from Prithviraj himself on Saturday morning. ‘Aadujeevitham’ now stands as the sixth film to achieve this milestone in Malayalam cinema. It surpasses the record set by the movie ‘2018’, which took 11 days to reach the Rs 100 crore mark. Other entries include ‘Lucifer’ and ‘Manjummel Boys’, which achieved this feat in 12 days, while ‘Premalu’ and ‘Pulimurugan’ took 31 and 36 days, respectively.
For Prithviraj, ‘Aadujeevitham’ marks his maiden entry into the 100 crore club. The film also holds the reputation of being the fastest to cross the Rs 50 crore mark in Malayalam cinema. In the year 2024, ‘Aadujeevitham’ becomes the third film to breach the Rs 100 crore milestone, following the success of ‘Premalu’ and ‘Manjummel Boys', both released earlier in February. ‘Manjummal Boys’, though, has amassed an impressive collection of Rs 220 crores.
The film also features stellar performances from Prithviraj and Amala Paul. With music composed by A R Rahman, cinematography by K S Sunil, art direction by Prasant Madhav, and makeup by Ranjith Ambady, ‘Aadujeevitham’ continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its compelling narrative and outstanding production quality.
