Friday night saw a spell-binding performance by Bengaluru-based Vinayak^a at Kappa CULTR 2025 -- the hottest music festival in south India -- being held at the Bolgatty Palace in Kochi, Kerala.

Electronic dance music artistes Vinayak^a and Siva Prayojan performed together at Kappa CULTR 2025, blending diverse sounds and creating an electrifying experience for the audience.

"Music can’t be put into a category," Vinayak^a told Mathrubhumi, adding, "Music is music. I make it to make people happy and to keep myself alive."

"Playing in Kerala is fun every time. I came here 10 years ago for another festival -- God’s Own Music Festival -- and it was a great experience. For Kappa CULTR, I arrived last night, and the vibe here is just as incredible. Plus, my wife is Malayali. So being here feels even more special."  

Vinayak^a expressed his excitement about being part of Kappa CULTR 2025, saying, “It’s great being a part of this festival. I feel truly blessed because last year, I heard so much about it (Kappa CULTR). This year, I am really grateful to experience."

Discussing the EDM scene in India, Vinayak^a remarked, "The independent music scene is on the rise, and it’s a great time for artists to express themselves. There’s a hustle, but it’s also the most exciting time for music. Thanks to the Internet, there’s no difference between international and national anymore. Everyone has access, which wasn’t the case before."  

“My recent gig at Magnetic Fields, where I performed with tribal musicians from the North-East, was the most unforgettable. It was two completely different cultures meeting -- me from a conventional background and them from an unconventional one. That’s what made it so special," he shared.
