The two-day event will feature performances by Biar, Sound Therapy, Racing Nokia, Anushka, Prismer, Groove Depot, Syeyl, Vridian, Tasnneem and Calm Chor. Alongside the music, visitors can expect curated food experiences, art and games, with the Arabian Sea providing the backdrop for the festival.

Unlike the larger flagship Kappa CULTR festival, CULTR SHIFT is being planned as a more intimate gathering. The new format aims to bring music lovers together in a different setting, while extending the festival brand's reach to new destinations and experiences.

“CULTR SHIFT is a natural evolution of the Kappa CULTR universe. While our flagship festival brings the community together on a larger scale, this new format allows us to explore a more intimate, immersive way of experiencing electronic music and culture. With Kovalam as our first destination, we’re bringing together music, art and community against the backdrop of Kerala’s beautiful coastline. This is the beginning of an exciting journey as we continue to explore new formats and create meaningful experiences for our,” said Mayura Shreyams Kumar, Festival Founder, Kappa CULTR.

The choice of Kovalam is central to the new festival's setting. The Leela's coastal location and surroundings are expected to shape the experience, bringing together electronic music and the natural landscape.

“CULTR SHIFT is about taking the CULTR experience into new spaces and letting the setting shape what we create. Kovalam felt like the perfect place to start — the coast, the atmosphere and the setting give us a chance to do something completely different, while still keeping the energy and quality that defines CULTR,” said Devika Shreyams Kumar, Festival Founder, Kappa CULTR.

With CULTR SHIFT, Kappa CULTR is looking to take its community beyond its main festival through smaller events and destination-led experiences.

The first edition is scheduled for November 21 and 22, 2026, at The Leela, Kovalam. Early bird tickets are now available through the festival's website. Click here for tickets
