The last song sung by singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, who passed away on May 31 after performing at a concert in Kolkata, has come out. The song ‘Dhoop Paani Bahne De’ from the movie ‘Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga’ directed by Srijit Mukherji was released on June 6. 

The music video that streamed on YouTube has garnered more than 300k views already. 

The song is composed by Shantanu Moitra. Lyrics of the song were penned by Gulzar. 

KK had posted a long note along with a photo on Instagram after completing the recording of the song. “Sang a beautiful song for my old friend @moitrashantanu (we made music together, back in the day in Delhi) written by another old friend, the amazing Gulzar Saab 😊. For a new friend @srijitmukherji, his film ‘Sherdil’,” he wrote. 

The movie stars Pankaj Tripathi, Neeraj Kabi, and Sayani Gupta.
