Kochi: Kappa CULTR, one of the biggest music festivals in the country, is back, bigger and more energetic than ever! 

CULTR 2025 was inaugurated on Thursday evening in the presence of Kochi Mayor M Anil Kumar, MLA KN Unnikrishnan, Kerala Minister for Industries, Law and Coir P Rajeev, Member of Parliament Hibi Eden, and Mathrubhumi Managing Editor PV Chandran, among others.

Hibi Eden, Member of Lok Sabha, stressed on the roots of Mathrubhumi in literacy and culture, now merged with Kochi's diversity. "We revel in a rich cultural heritage, with Jewish community members calling this place home. We're here to witness a vibrant showcase of cultures, energy, dance, and other activities," he said.

Mayor M Anil Kumar echoed similar sentiments, "Mathrubhumi's choice of Kochi as the venue is perfect, given its rich cultural diversity and multilingual heritage. I couldn't agree more with Hibi's sentiments. Here's to many more successful events!"

The festival aims to provide a platform for the youth to showcase their talent. PV Nidhish, JME of Mathrubhumi, said, "Addressing the youth and showcasing their talent is what we're expecting to share through this CULTR 2025."

Minister P Rajeev also stressed on the importance of youth energy, saying, "Our highlight point is the tagline of CULTR festival of cultures – that's the beauty of our cultures, with music, dance, and more festivities. Let's make it colorful!"

Mayura MS, Director of Mathrubhumi Digital Operations, expressed pride in hosting the festival, stating: “We've blended uniqueness in people from different cultures, art forms, and music. This is one of a kind, and I don't think a festival has come at this scale in Kerala before."
