Seoul: Dynamic Duo rapper Gaeko and influencer Kim Sumi have announced their divorce, ending a 14-year marriage, and have removed traces of each other from their social media accounts.
On Jan 16, both Gaeko and Kim Sumi shared statements on their respective social platforms confirming their separation. “Last year we, after many long conversations, decided to end our relationship as spouses while respecting each other's lives,” they said.

The couple, who married in May 2011, share a son and a daughter. Despite the separation, they confirmed they will continue co-parenting. “We will continue to fulfil our responsibilities and roles as parents without change,” the statement read. They also appealed for privacy, saying, “Rather than excessive interest or premature interpretation, we ask that you watch over us with a slightly warmer gaze.”

Gaeko, meanwhile, continues his music career as one half of hip-hop duo Dynamic Duo alongside Choiza. The group rose to fame with their debut album Taxi Driver in 2004. Gaeko released his first solo album Redingray in 2015.
