Coldplay kicked off their India tour in spectacular fashion on Saturday evening in Mumbai, but what truly captured the hearts of Indian fans was how the band made an effort to connect with the audience by using Hindi words during their performance.

The British band left no stone unturned in captivating the crowd at the DY Patil Stadium, showcasing their musical brilliance. From performing iconic tracks like 'Fix You' and 'A Sky Full of Stars' to transforming the venue into a magical experience with vibrant lights, intricate designs, and confetti cannons showering the audience with colorful ribbons, the four cheerful band members created an atmosphere of pure joy.

Chris Martin, the band's frontman, added a special touch to the night by attempting to speak in Hindi. After finishing one of the songs, he thanked the audience with a heartfelt "shukriya."

The biggest surprise of the night came when Martin read aloud "Jai Shri Ram" from a placard held up by a fan. He read it out loud, drawing cheers from the crowd, and even asked what it meant.

Before the concert, Martin and his partner, actress Dakota Johnson, were spotted visiting the Shri Babulnath Temple, both dressed in traditional attire for the sacred visit.

The Indian leg of Coldplay's Music of the Spheres tour is being organised by BookMyShow Live.

The band, led by Chris Martin, will perform again in Mumbai on Sunday and Tuesday. After their Mumbai shows, they will head to Ahmedabad for two consecutive performances on January 25 and 26.
